One of Alan Moore's various spawn adventures, Bloodfeud is certainly different. The story and pacing are certainly that of a Spawn book, and some of the characters make excellent additions to the universe. Moore, as usual, is masterfully dry in his wit and more power too him, while I will say that this seems the weakest "Spawn" he's done, as it dwells less on Spawn himself and more on two other characters; one being part of Spawn himself. It paces well, though I will say that I wish it were longer and collected into the hardcover editions where it should be, this is a similar complaint I have with the Angela and Violator series; McFarlane really should compile those series better, they deserve to be preserved. All in all, if your a longtime Spawn fan, you'll probably enjoy it more than if your new; it takes a little foreknowledge of that character and his situation to truly appreciate the plot and problem he's facing, but a great read none the less from a great writer.
